FUTURE PROSPECTS

In 2018, the Group began a new cycle with the implementation of a New Governance Model, more independent from the reference shareholders, who are part of the Board of Directors but only as non-executive Directors.

A new Strategic Plan was approved. It is based on three pillars, namely:

  • Reinforcement of the organizational culture and consolidation of the governance model;
  • Enhancement of operational efficiency, planning and productivity; and,
  • Consolidation of the financial readaptation trajectory.

The objectives are to increase operational efficiency and productivity, improve planning and execution, retain clients that seek quality and response even in the most complex projects, increase exports both to markets where the Group is present and to new markets, manufacturing more in Portugal, both in Oliveira de Frades and in Viana do Castelo.

Our perspectives for the future are to strengthen the order book in the metallic constructions segment, particularly in markets where we are present and that value quality more than a low price, to take advantage of opportunities in new markets that will enable the accomplishment of projects with attractive profitability and to win in the short term another contract in the Oil & Gas sector, to continue the consolidation in the Naval Industry and to strengthen the renewables segment's presence in Latin America.

To promote an integrated vision of the clients, employees and suppliers in the structure of the Management System and assure the fulfillment of the contractual requirements;

The continuous improvement of the health and safety conditions at the workplace, namely by identifying hazards and assessing and controlling the risks associated to the activities, preventing the accidents and providing a larger comfort in the work execution, providing the means of protection and the information required to minimize the exposure to certain risk factors that could not be removed;

Continuous improvement of the environmental performance through the identification and control of environmental aspects that the organization controls, associated to the products and activities of the company to eliminate or minimize the environmental impacts, preventing pollution;

Search of achieving of competitive advantages trough projects that lead to a significant increase of productivity;

Keep an efficient allocation of the resources to the different activities, in way to create value for the shareholder, monitoring the economic and financial performance of each business line, improving continuously the processes, in way to gradually increase the productivity of the productive factors.
